Luxa is the queen of Regalia, the Underground city. She is one of the main characters in the Underland Chronicles and plays an important role.
Her initial impression on the reader at the beginning of the first book is of a cocky, arrogant and hard-hearted girl. This is shown when she attempts to bully Boots, Gregor's baby sister. She and Gregor dislike each other. However, as the book goes on and they journey on a quest to rescue Gregor's father, they eventually become friends and discover that the other had a lot more courage than they had thought.
Appearance
Luxa is described as pale-haired and violet eyed, with skin so translucent that you could see the veins underneath. This is normal among the Underlander humans, who have never seen the sun before.
